Awai in Japanese means something like light or faint, blurry color. A situation in which there is little light, but it is not entirely dark either. This album captures the first time Tomomi and Fernando jammed together. The result is a haunting journey that, once it starts to feel like a dark fairytale, searches and finds light once more, and vice versa. Tomomi enchants us like a wizard with the magical Ondes Martenot, while Fernando's (at times droney) guitar jamming shows why he is a force in Barcelona's underground improv scene. Together they create imaginary realms in which it is easy to get lost in, making you want to flip sides and yearning for more. This album is a realm on its own, we'll meet inside.
